Bopp & Steve - Firmware Upgrade Guide

Upgrade procedure

Things you will need

• a Bopp & Steve in a suitably powered eurorack system.
• a USB-C cable.
• a PC.
• The latest firmware: DOWNLOAD

Upgrading

1. Download and unzip the firmware. You now have a firmware .uf2 file.
2. Connect the Bopp & Steve to the power rail of your eurorack but keep it powered off.
3. Connect the Bopp & Steve with a USB-C cable to your pc.
4. While pressing the little button on the edge of the Bopp & Steve board near the USB connector, power up your eurorack.
   
5. The Bopp & Steve will appear as a drive on your PC. This drive will probably be called something like RP2350.
6. Let go of the little button.
7. Copy the firmware .uf2 file to the Bopp & Steve drive.
8. The Bopp & Steve will automatically restart after the copy is done and it will blink its LEDs.
9. Power down your eurorack system.
10. Disconnect the USB cable.
11. You are done!
12. Screw the Bopp & Steve back in to your system.
